Level 4 – Able to use a variety of parallel and wedge christy turns on green slopes and able to use turn shape and skidding for speed control. Level 5 – Able to make round turns initiated by turning the feet and legs on green and blue slopes. Level 6 – Able to make parallel turns on all groomed blue slopes but may still use a christy on more difficult slopes. Learning proper pole swing and touch to enhance parallel turns. Level 7 – Comfortable making parallel turns on all blue slopes and easier groomed black terrain. Have some upper and lower body separation. Level 8 – Comfortable on any blue slope and single black diamond slopes. Level 9 – Able to make dynamic parallel turns on any smooth slope. N/ASnowboard Levels Level 1 – You have never snowboarded before. Level 2 – Able to skate and glide, understand how to fall more safely, and can get up. Able to ride lifts, balance on heelside edge, and sideslip down the slope. Level 3 – Able to perform toeside and heelside garlands, J-turns, single C-turns to the heelside edge, and comfortable riding the chairlift. Level 4 – Comfortable linking turns on beginner terrain. Level 5 – Riding green runs with speed control and varying turn shape. Level 6 – Able to carve turns and vary the radius of skidded turns on all green and most blue runs. Level 7 – Proficient at making a variety of turn sizes on all blue terrain. Able to carve turns and vary the radius of skidded turns and types of terrain. Level 8 – Able to vary the radius and rhythm of turns on all green and blue terrain. And linking high intensity carved turns on green and blue terrain. Level 9 – Able to comfortably ride most of the area in a variety of conditions. And making maximum flexing at edge change skidded turns on all terrain.
