Membership

In applying for membership, it is my understanding that this application is for the current season. In the event, I become a member, I agree not to hold the Club liable for injury, loss, or damage resulting from Club functions or the use of Club property or equipment. I have passed my 18th birthday and I understand that the legal drinking age is 21.  I will not partake in any illegal activity while participating in the club activities. I will abide by the by-laws of the Club and submit to their authority regarding my membership in this Club. I authorize the Club to use my photo and/or information, including my child(ren), and guests related to my experiences with the Club. I understand this information may be used in publications including electronic publications, promotional literature, advertising, website(s), and/or social media platforms. My consent is freely given as a public service to the Club, without expecting payment. I release the Club and their respective officers, and agents from any liability which may arise from the use of such news media stories, promotional materials, written articles, video(s), and/or photographs.  By signing this application, I am acknowledging my agreement and that I have read these conditions.

Club and Trip Policy

Schussmeisters’ of Michigan provides a zero profit zero loss Western Ski Trip.  Every effort has been made to provide our members with the lowest cost trip available with the amenities they have become accustom to.   In these uncertain times with airlines changing policy and rising fuel costs, Schussmeisters’ of Michigan cannot be responsible for added fees by outside operations.  In the event our trips have a positive balance after all bills are paid – the profit will be divided between all participants. Refunds under 10.00 will not be made. In the event there is a negative balance after the trip — all participants will be required to share in that cost.  Availability of lodging and transportation etc. may change due to circumstances out of our control. Every effort will be made to notify attendees as soon as possible and a suitable alternative will be utilized.

Trip Cancellation Policy

Deposits for all trips will be established by the trip Director.

Unless a replacement is found, expenses incurred by Schussmeisters’ of Michigan., such as bus fees and credit card fees, are non-refundable and will be passed on to the person canceling.  Any refunds should be mailed out four weeks after the completion of the trip (if any).

In special situations, the Board of Directors, at its discretion, may decide to waive the cancellation fee.  Special cases are to be submitted in writing to the Schussmeister’s Board for review.

Payment Policy

A deposit and fully executed trip agreement (online or paper versions are accepted) are both required to hold your spot on the trip. Payment is due on or before the payment due date. Balances may be paid in full at anytime. Late payments or failure to pay your full balance by the final payment date may impact the trip leaders ability to secure your travel arrangements and/or accommodations.
